Exciting things are happening in Mullewa! The Colour Our Country: Mullewa Streets Alive project is bringing creativity and community together to help make our streets safer, brighter, and more welcoming.
Our first community workshop has already taken place, and it was fantastic to see so many creative ideas emerging. Participants shared colourful concepts, positive messages, and designs that reflect the spirit of Mullewa. These ideas may soon become part of the town’s streetscape.
What’s the project about?
Through a series of workshops, local artists, students, and community members are working together to design vibrant street art and positive wellbeing messages for Jose Street.
Selected designs may be transformed into:
🎨 Colourful pedestrian crossings
🛞 Painted street bins
🚩 Street banners
🏡 Wheelie bin stickers
💬 Positive wellbeing messages throughout the town
The goal is to create a safer, calmer street environment while celebrating local creativity and community pride.

No art experience is needed — just bring your ideas and creativity!
Community Exhibition & Voting
The program will conclude with a community art exhibition, where residents will be able to view the designs created during the workshops and vote for their favourites. The winning designs may then be turned into real street artworks around town.
